    Fuel System Maintenance

It happened to me today, I have half a tank left so I could fill it and get 15 litres in, not sure I could get 20 in. I think when it's gone I'll fill a quarter or half tank at a time I should get through that in 3 months. But of a shame really I was in for 6 months without filling up and it's...

    Yikes I can't charge!

Thanks guys, the garage agree with Anko, stress on the short end has caused a short, flexing the cable will get power to flow for a moment. They have ordered a new one under warranty with no question, which is great so kudos to MB Mitsubishi in Bradford. Hopefully It comes tomorrow and I can...

    Yikes I can't charge!

So every thing has been wonderful, and it's been 3 months since I had to put any flammable smelly stuff in the side of the car.... But now my charger is dead, I'm still using the mistbishi 3 pin one and it's been fine, now it's got no lights, the fuse is fine as is the socket so it must be the...

A bit sparse in West Yorkshire

Im in west Yorkshire too, I see so many now, 4 each day and 3 in works car park and some around the local retail parks, so much for been different, even parked next to one with almost the same number plate as mine, I took a pic, cos I'm sad. When ever I see one parked up I try park next to it :)

    Charging protocol

I always leave a note saying what time I expect to be charged. I often park at Ikea and the queues inside mean you can be gone for 30 mins on a short stop. If I charge there I can make the round trip with no fuel. I don't be grudge a pure EV using a charger before me, but I did Park at leeds...

Outlander PHEV SMS Remote App now available

Anko, I wish I'd known that, I created and complied an app using tasker today. it works on kitkat 4.4 and 4.3 android phones and responds to texts or missed calls from a number or numbers, you can also text it to get the location of the car should you misplace it. Personally I'd rather phone...

Outlander PHEV SMS Remote App now available

Some really interesting ideas there Mark. I use Tasker to automate things like texting me the location of the car and telling me when the powers turned on. You can have the phone email you a photo so you can see who's powered your car up too. I dare say you could knock up a tasker script...

    Remote app

You would need to be very close to the car, inside or stood next to the passenger side. If you are using Android you may find the phone keeps trying to disconnect as it can't find the internet, you can change this in wifi settings on the phone.

OWNERS TOP THREE SUGGESTIONS FOR MITSUBISHI

My top 3 would be really simple things two of them would cost next to nothing ; Have all the windows work with one touch, so go all the way down or up without keeping your finger on it, every morning I put my windows down to clear the rain before I pull out then put them up as I pull away...

    Front windscreen

Eco does control the fan speed reducing power, but also reduces the drive power to keep you using a light right foot I find turning off the air con, but keeping the blower on low works well and doesn't sap the battery once you get up and running

    Test drive day 1

Hi Tweeds and welcome. there is no lumbar support, I did feel it at first but not now. The middle seat belt can be disconnected by pushing a key into the side of the anchor (you'll see a white clip) it will release and you can secure both clips into the roof so they don't rattle. There is no...

    Options poor for G3h model?

Hi Warkman, I had a Superb Elegance before the outlander, its a great car. There are a few things I found a bit basic on the outlander compared to what is a well loaded Skoda. I too get my fuel paid for, aside from tax on personal mileage, but I wanted something a little different, a little...

    disable alarm sensors

Hi everyone, In my last few cars there was a button you could press before locking it, this would arm the alarm but not the internal sensors. This saves you from setting the alarm off when leaving a dog or child in the car for a min. I often lock my son in the car while I pick the other one...

Outlander PHEV SMS Remote App now available

But it will drive up electricity costs if pre heating, Id like to pre heat to save petrol, but there is not a huge cost saving as you will have to charge more. Someone cleverer than me maybe able to work out the cost to heat for 10 mins on petrol and battery and see what the costs are. Hence...

Outlander PHEV SMS Remote App now available

This sounds like a really good idea but I'm not sure I'm willing to pay £22 for an app no matter how good it is. (I only paid £20 for my Andy phone)

    CHAdeMO Charging Issue

I've noticed the same thing after using the rapid chargers feel like the battery runs down faster. However I rapid charge off the motorway then do 60mph which would run the battery down anyway. It could just be that the rapid chargers are close to the motorway and that style of driving isn't...

    Iphone disconnecting from Bluetooth

Hi everyone, I have an iPhone 6 plus runing the lastest ios, it connects to the car fine, a GS4h, for both phone and music, address book downloaded et al. But, as soon as I make a call the phone disconnects, then connects then disconnects over and over. If I turn off the wifi is stays...

'fess up - who has managed to get a wifi extender to work?

I found a cheap no name one on eBay, I can post a link if anyone wants me too. It was £10 and works perfectly. Simply logged into it, chose the cars network ssid, entered the cars password and now it shows as one in the same network but with a much better range. It's been working for 4 days...

    Few questions

Hi all, first time poster long time lurker. I picked up my PHEV last week and I'm loving it. But I have a few random questions Does the middle cubby, under the armrest, have 4 exposed bolts in it or are they covered? They look in finished in mine. Does the diagnostics port have a cover...
