    Front and Rear LED lights

Ok car has been back to the dealers. The ETACS unit was replaced and the garage blamed the tow-bar electrics. Yes as per previous post, the ETACS feeds the each side of the sidelights, left and right, separately and there is no fuse. Not encountered this before. Dealer disconnected the tow-bar...

    Front and Rear LED lights

Before the lock down I took my PHEV to the dealer. After 4 days they replaced the ETACS unit. No difference. The dealer then said they have disconnected the towbar electrics and the issue had gone. As the lockdown was starting the next day either I picked up the car or it would be locked in the...

    Outlander Toxic Smell

My wife's 2015 Outlander failed its MOT. One of the front calipers was stuck on. It explains the strange smell.

    Front and Rear LED lights

LOL - this was the same excuse a previous dealer tried when my car went into lip home mode and I fitted a HID kit. Turns out it was the turbo... I will report back what the dealer finds when it goes back in the garage 18th March.

    Front and Rear LED lights

One other thing I have noticed - if I hit the open car button on the fob, the led position light (front) and the rear tail light flash 3 times. It would tend to suggest the lights are working, to a degree.

    Front and Rear LED lights

Thanks Ray - good job I have a warranty. In that case I will let the garage figure it out and update the post with their findings. Greg

    Front and Rear LED lights

Makes sense that both the tail and the side (position) lights are the the same circuit and seperate left from right - hence the passengers side is still working and the fault is isolated to the drivers side. I can't tell from the diagram which fuse/relay I could check. Can you confirm? Greg

    Front and Rear LED lights

Hi, I had my 2015 Mitsubishi PHEV (facelift model) in the garage for them to replace the entire EV cooling system, as it was clogged. After a week in the garage they rang to say the car was ready. However they noticed that the front drivers side LED sidelight and the rear (manual says its LED)...

    UK Company & Car Owner

At 20℅ BIK this is not an issue. I am a 40℅ BIK - so my cots double. I gave my wife the PHEV as her company car - she is a 20℅ BIK. I bought the Prius off my company and now make a profit. Really miss the PHEV as it drives so much better than the Prius.

Reclaiming tax on the electricity to charge the PHEV

I work for my own company. I asked my accountant what to do regarding the electricity to charge. He told me to claim for what it costs me. I simply put the rate of 14p/kw (as per my electricity company charge) into the PHEV computer and it tells me on a daily/monthly basis the cost. My average...

Timed heating - does it work?

I deleted the Mitsi app as it is useless. Fed up with the wifi app blocking my iPhone functionality. I set the heat for 20 mins each morning by the onboard settings - it is a doddle and extremely toasty when I get in. Do you really need 30 mins heating?

    Tesla 3 launch

I want a Tesla 3, I really do. However I suspect the UK will not get them till 2018-2019. Tesla does have "form" when it comes to late deliveries. Will have to get by with my PHEV for a few years 8-)

    LED Daylight Running Lights

Superb write-up. I did the same modification, took me about the same time and the results have been excellent. A bright white light from the LED replacement bulbs. Highly recommended mod.

    Petrol only mpg

I did 175 miles on 2 trips last week, majority is at 75mph on the motorway. 1st trip, more motoryway I got 38mpg, return trip, with several detours on A roads I got 40mpg. For a 2 ton, 2 litre petrol 4 wheel drive vehicle not bad. Same trip using my wife's Prius and it got 55mpg. Still...

16 MY PHEV ordering - current availability

Put my order in today for another PHEV. Dealer says the grant at £5k has run out and it is NOW at £2.5k. Good luck!

Replacing H7 Halogen with Xenon or LED in headlights

The cars I did the modification did not have lamp leveling or even wash facility, hence it is illegal to swap the halogen bulb for a HID bulb. In the Prius the projector headlamp hides the fact the bulb has been swapped.

Replacing H7 Halogen with Xenon or LED in headlights

I have fitted numerous HID kits to replace halogen headlights. From my 1996 Daimler, 2006 BMW 320D, 2011 Nissan Navara, to the 2010 Prius - all changed, all illegal. The Prius has projector lenses and you cannot tell they have been converted. But again - illegal, for the last 3 years.....

Parking Sensors - front and rear

I fitted a set of rear sensors to my current car. Cost me £15 and 2 hours of work. You paid dealer prices for a 3rd party fitment. I would not be happy.

P13W DRL LED that might work unmodified (please check)

Stick with the "dremels". My LED's were about £5 for the set, the set you are looking are significantly more. Why bother?
