Help. I've a new Outlander. Had it for a month. Now a new phone.

When I plug my iPhone into the USB cable, it says that no supported phone is connected. This means that I can't use Apple CarPlay and have no navigation.

Any ideas please? Thanks in advance.

There are a number of possibilities:

1) The cable is not pushed firmly enough into the phone; I have had this problem more than once
2) The phone is locked - my phone needs to be unlocked to work with Carplay (are you using Face id?) but you can change this apparently: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8519499
3) The cable is faulty - have you tried plugging it into anything else?
4) The USB socket is faulty - have you tried plugging a thumb drive in to see if it can recognise another device?

Hope one of these suggestions helps

Plus could be the phones USB port is broken, I had the same problem, got the port replaced now works fine.
