    No preheating after service

After annual service and sw update the Settings Menu does not include the preheating option. Just not there. Any suggestions, what could be wrong? Anything I can fix myself? I called the service and the suggested I need to come over, but it is quite far away and I would be happy to avoid the trip.

    Bluetoot connection failed

PHEV manual says it uses v.2.0+EDR Bluetooth. I was using until now Galaxy S Advanced with v.3.0 Bluetooth without problems, now changed to Galaxy A3 with v.4.0 and no connection at all. Description of Bluetooth says 4.0 is downwards compatible to 3.0, but not 2.0. Any chance for a go-around...

Will PHEV meet the London ULEZ exemption ?

Will the Outlander PHEV meet the ULEZ exemption without the pure EV mode? It should become effective 2020, but I found no mention of PHEV or EV in the news. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone?cid=ultra-low-emission-zone#on-this-page-0 Just curious.

How many miles and time we save...

How many miles and time we save by not having to visit the gas station so often? Did anybody estimate it? This is one more advantage of driving a PHEV, I have found mentioned neither on this forum nor elsewhere.

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV US launch delayed again

Pretty sad. They were pioneers in PHEV SUV, in 2016 they will be followers... Mitsubishi recently told Automotive News that the plug-in version of the Outlander won’t hit American dealerships until the second quarter of 2016. More here...

    Haptic feedback on gas pedal

More and more PHEV use haptic feedback on gas pedal to mark the point, when the ICE is going to turn on in the pure EV mode. IMHO very useful function, helping you to adjust your driving style to your environment awareness. Here the example from new Porsche Panamera: When the battery is...

Is Outlander the only PHEV without EV button?

I am slowly becoming sure, it is... Audi A3 e-tron: The EV button on the Audi A3 will give you 31 miles of electric range, Toyota Camry Hybrid The small Toyota Yaris: Toyota Prius: Plug-In Prius: Toyota Auris: Toyota Highlander SUV: BYD F3DM EV Button

2016 Chevy Volt features Outlander "brake paddles"

“With regenerative braking on demand, driving the all-new 2016 Volt puts the power in your hands. A steering wheel-mounted paddle that allows you to control your regenerative braking takes power that’s normally lost and puts it into the battery. That’s just one of the many unrivaled {sic}...

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Continues Sales Lead in Europe

When it comes to electric vehicles, Europeans are showing a distinct preference for Mitsubishi's Outlander PHEV sport utility vehicle, followed by the LEAF and Tesla's Model S. For the month of October, which seems like ages ago now, the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in was far ahead of the pack...

Mitsubishi plans to introduce Outlander PHEV to the US

    NTSB on batteries safaty.

The batteries of the Boeing 787 are by the same manufacturer like ours, in our Outlander PHEV. I thought it could be interesting for you to see what conclusions NTSB had on the battery fire case. One safety recommendations for GS Yuasa, battery manufacturer. Full report to be found here...

By -5C the PHEV is not a PHEV any more...

Not only the well discussed problem with ICE starting to heat the cabin, but the ICE seems to keep running the wheels and later charging the battery even when almost full, so there is no regen braking at all. Today was driving 10km by -5C and hand almost no regen in the city and no battery...

    Heat by ICE or battery

If I cannot preheat, but the battery is full, what is better: 1. Let the PHEV decide (as it does usually) and heat with the battery (using up to 4-5 kW) 2. Put her to Save mode and force the ICE run and heat the car with the waste heat. Assumed is longer drive that will use the full battery...

Why LEJ batteries for Outlander, not Toshiba?

Mitsubishi has chosen to use the Lithium Energy Japan batteries for the Outlander PHEV, instead of the Toshiba SCiB™ used for the iMiEV, with all the known consequences (delays, failures). Why? The SCiB™ seems to have much better parameters and is gaining ground in many applications...

    Poland

Hi, Outlander PHEV fans and owners. I am an electric vehicle freak from Poland, about to pick up my Outlander PHEV today. Very exciting day. :) I don't know if it is the first one in Poland (except the demo dealer's machines) but I am, and always, was the "early adopter" or " Lighthouse...
