Has anyone had a post-mounted charger fitted?

I'm planning to get a charging point fitted at home, but don't really want to mount it to a wall, as it would mean dragging the cable past another car. Has anyone had a home charging point mounted on a post, or bought any other free-standing charger? Are there any about that can be had for free/cheap? Any recommendations or experiences to bear in mind?
