    USB Groundhog Day

After its first service, or maybe after adding new music to my USB, I've found myself in Groundhog Day. It no longer plays music from the same point as when we switched off. Every time I turn the car on now, it plays track 1. That's Adele which is ok but I have to reselect what I want every...

Fuelly website won't accept my latest fill ups

I logged in to update my Fuelly fill ups after an absence. Sadly it won't accept one of my latest top ups. I was happy to be trying to add 592 miles with a usage of 3.99 litres, meaning I had done 676 mpg. It says there's a problem with it and gives 0mpg. Is there a maximum mpg that it just...

Is my British Gas / Polar unit faulty?

We've had the 16 Amp unit installed since late October, with no problem until last week. It firstly intermittently, and now most of the time, fails to charge the car. The green light doesn't come on. Only the orange power light is on, with no red. I have never set any charging timers. Last...

    Clever windscreen wipers.

After having the car for 4 months, I found a clever facility by chance today. If you flick the wiper stalk briefly towards you, the washers fire. So what, doesn't every car? But the phev first squirts the washers, wipes, washes before the returning wipe, then repeats. The washers fire 4 or...

    Switching off AVAS

Has anyone switched off the Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System? I was trying to think why you might want to, other than showing off how quiet the car is to your friends. I came up with a few (silly, please don't take this seriously) suggestions. 1) For drive by shootings or stalking a deer. 2)...

My car wants to make me fat.....Satnav obsessed with diners!

When we use satnav and we are on a motorway, our satnav is constantly updating us where we can eat, or refuel the car. This only happens on motorways. How can I switch it off? Our Shoguns never had this issue. I've tried every setting that would seem to be applicable, but with no success...

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!

For those who haven't been driving on snow yet, I'm pleased to report that both the car and standard tyres have coped really quite well. I hadn't got round to ordering the spare alloys with winter tyres, as it's been so mild. Had a 45 mile journey home from North Yorkshire last night. 3"...

Has anyone fitted led bulbs to the DRL's?

I wondered if anyone has fitted led P13W bulbs to the DRL's? I've fitted led side light bulbs recently. Again they would use a little less power than standard bulbs. Also they would look whiter, and less like fog lights.

    It's back

I've missed the forum over the weekend. Presumably no-one else was able to access it.

Can I disable the EV News / Twitter / Facebook banner?

Hi does anyone know how to remove the banner at the top of the forum? Its fine on a pc, but gets in the way when posting on my iPhone. I've had a look through all the options on the User Control Panel, but can't find the option. Many thanks

Is it just me or is the gear selection back to front?

Had our car for 5 days now. Is it just me or is the gear selection back to front? To the right and forward for reverse. To the right and back for forwards. With a reversing camera, but no sensors, I'm going to have to be careful manoeuvring in tight spots, until I get the hang of it!!

    Eco Button

Day 3 of ownership, and loving it. 2 quick questions re the Eco button, which I'm sure many of you will have worked out. Firstly which systems on the car does it effect? I had assumed it was just the climate control, but think it may do more. Secondly is it possible to select it as a default...

    Recommended steering wheel lock

Has anyone got a recommendation for a steering wheel lock? 4tress and Stoplock 4x4, both have decent reviews on Amazon, but will they fit the Phev well? Haven't used one since a Crooklock on my MG Metro in the 1980's, but with talk of keyless entry cars being vulnerable, it may be time to...

    Have I made a mistake?

I'm picking up our new PHEV tomorrow, but I'm now wondering if I should have ordered one of these: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kzYb68qXpD0 Does anyone else wonder if we've been short changed on the new technology?

    Meadowhall Shopping Centre Charging points

We are hopefully picking up our car on Friday, and I can't wait. We live just north of Sheffield, so do use Meadowhall once in a while. I know where the charging points are, and will end up using them. There is mention in another post of a security barrier, that you need to have opened. Do we...

What gas guzzlers have you owned?

We have all bought/are buying the Phev as it is greener/more efficient/cheaper to run. I wondered what gas guzzlers other members had previously owned. I have owned small cars, but have been guilty of owning a few offenders though mainly covering small mileages. Pre-Phev I've owned LWB...

    16 Amp charger size

Good morning all, We have ordered our PHEV GX4H in Glacier Blue, and hope to receive it by the end of October. We are really looking forward to seeing how little petrol we can use in our 31 mile round trip to work. 80% of our motoring is on short trips, so the PHEV makes good sense. Having...
