    Charging process for Outlander PHEV

Mitsubishi Outlander definitely has a challenge in front of him but I'm more then sure that they will overcome them if they manage these battery and production problems they have been facing lately.

    What is Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV?

The time has already arrived when everybody who is buying a new car is contemplating a PHEV like the Outlander so I think that there is nothing to worry about and that the new taxes and grants that are being put into power will change peoples opinion very fast.

    0 to 100km.

very interesting, I'm glad you let us in on this info, but there is one thing that I think you are completely wrong namely you said that "if Mitsubishi is not a dominant force in PHEV technology in ten years from now it won’t be because other manufactures have been smarter, it will be because...

    Australian Launch Delayed

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV really is a very important car when it comes to EVs in general because if the launch doesn't go well I could really see other car makers delay production which would really be bad for this transition to EVs we are going through.

Mitsubishi extends Outlander PHEV production halt

This is definitely a bad one for Mitsubishi, I think this will be the biggest hit that Outlander will take because we all know how important American market is for any car maker let alone Mitsubishi.

    0 to 100km.

Yeah I've heard of him but you have to admit that Mitsubishi Outlander is a totally different animal then the Rimac One, first of all the price is off the charts(in the $600k + range) second of all it's designed to be the fastest electric car ever built.

    Picture explanations of Mitsubishi Outlander

I'm still not convinced that having two engines is the right choice that Mitsubishi made for the Outlander PHEV, Outlander is a family SUV and they have to have a lot of space, which is severely limited if you have two engines

    Phev orders

That really is a bundle of useful info about the Volt, I think that you made the right choice when choosing the new Outlander PHEV over the Volt.

    Charging process for Outlander PHEV

That is actually true, but it's really exhausting to watch carmakers do the same mistake as always, they try to make the car and everything that goes alongside it proprietary which always backfires and the most compatible new technology always wins.

Mitsubishi extends Outlander PHEV production halt

You would actually be surprised at how flamable the Li-on batteries actually are, especially in a PHEV like the Mitsubishi Outlander because there is the engine and gas alongside the batteries which can easily malfunction, that's why Mitsubishi is being so careful probably.

    Charging process for Outlander PHEV

I think I read somewhere that Phillips is working on a project of that sort, but I just can't seem to remember where I read. If I remember I'll definitely let you know. It is really frustrating to see car companies(Mitsubishi as well) trying to segment the market on this new technology instead...

    What is Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV?

I agree, that just goes to show that we aren't as far from PHEVs being ubiquitous the car market as some might think.

Mitsubishi's Remote Control app for iPhone and Android Read

I don't think so, my guess is (I haven't tried the Outlander app) that it will certainly have an option to receive commands from the smartphone even if you are not in the WIFI reach of the car. It's really easy (and cheap) to accomplish from a technical standpoint so I don't really see a reason...

    Long Haul Performance

Well I can't say from experience, cause I haven't driven the Outlander long haul, but these types of cars in general are very useful in long haul if you know how to drive them. By that I mean if you can use the regenerative breaking and if you know when to use fuel mode and when hybrid. It will...

    Charging process for Outlander PHEV

Well there really isn't much to it except for the one time charging station install that you have to make to be able to charge the Mitsubishi Outlander in the first place but other than that it's as you said - easy as a pie.

    Australian Launch Delayed

That is a good point you made about jan 1st tax changes, I heard about it but I haven't payed much attention. I wonder if Mitsubishi will manage to deliver the Outlanders to the Dutch on time.
  17. D

Battery Life and Cost of Replacement

It's a lot more complicated than that because Outlander uses a lot of small batteries and they probably have a software system that manages the charging and recharging of the batteries themselves so that they are never "overcharged". So that makes them different than the phone batteries. But my...

    Outlander PHEV drive review

For an SUV the Outlander is incredibly cheap in my opinion, plus you can save a ton of doe on oil and a ton of time on gas stations.

    New Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV infomercial

It's one of those comercials that provide info too, but the best thing about this one is that the actors are foreign and the guy sound like Schwarzenegger and its ridiculously funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZCRW_Pzlwc

Mitsubishi will double Outlander PHEV production

That really is a good news item for the Mitsubishi Outlander forum.
