I deliberately did my upgrade out of range of my home or work wifi as I'd had problems last time there was an update. I got messages to say that the upgrade had failed and that too many devices were registered but it had actually upgraded properly and a reboot of the phone sorted the too many...

If no devices are registered then I believe the wifi is not activated. Perhaps it has lost the list of registered devices during the upgrade. I would try registering your device again.

I've used that one in Antrim many times and never had a problem. It's very handy if I need to nip into Homebase for something. Hopefully it's a one off. Do you remember what the error message on the charger was?

Instead of restarting the whole phone you only need to restart the app. Double click the home button and swipe upwards on the PHEV app.

Lol. That black one was me. I saw you on the charger and thought the other one must be queued up. I went a few miles up the road to the Belvoir rapid charger. The Rapid chargers are getting a lot busier recently. We're going to need more chargers around here.

I think you have to have the car in ACC mode (ie press the power button but not the brake pedal) for it to save the settings from the remote app.

I use Bluetooth from my iPhone 5S and it's really great quality. No problems at all.

When using the public charging points with my 32A cable I was getting "car not recognised" about half the time I tried to charge. I then discovered that i could push the cable much further into the socket - a couple of inches in total - and then it works all the time.

Ouch! I test drove a PHEV on a Monday then found out the dealer had a cancelled order in the colour and spec I wanted + a free protection kit. I was able to see it in its original wrappings and then took delivery on the Friday.
